Overview of the Senior Product Manager AI Search Role

At Seismic, Product Managers are crucial in defining product vision and leading its success throughout development. This role requires strong product strategy, deep customer empathy, robust leadership, and a proactive execution approach. Our team is at the forefront of generative AI, utilizing our proprietary AI engine, Seismic Aura, to transform GTM and enablement team interactions. The commitment is to leverage AI to enhance productivity and efficiency for sellers and enablers, ultimately driving superior sales and customer outcomes.

As a Senior Product Manager AI Search, you will be responsible for leading the development and enhancement of search technologies, specifically advancing generative search capabilities within the Seismic Aura AI engine. Search and Generative Search are fundamental, horizontal capabilities at Seismic, integral to many products. You will collaborate extensively with various teams to ensure product alignment across different surfaces, intents, and use cases, addressing diverse discovery needs.

This pivotal role sits at the intersection of technology and user experience, driving a robust and competitive AI product roadmap. You will stay current with the latest AI/ML-driven search trends and techniques, working closely with data science, engineering, product design, and GTM teams to deliver innovative solutions aligned with user needs.

West coast candidates are preferred for this role due to global collaboration with the engineering team based in China.

Who We're Looking For

• Academic background in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 4+ years of proven software Product Management experience.
• 2+ years of experience in information retrieval and search systems.
• 2+ years of experience in the machine learning & data science space, ideally hands-on.
• Experience in Python or related languages for data analytics and machine learning.
• Demonstrated passion for user experience and solving customer problems, delivering delightful software.
• Understanding of modern machine learning technologies and platforms required to build and maintain AI systems at scale.
• Technical acumen to engage credibly with engineering stakeholders on technical tradeoffs, technologies, and scalability.
• Strategic thinker, analytical, detail-oriented, and results-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Motivated self-starter capable of translating uncertainty and ambiguity into clear, crisp plans.
• Ability to develop a strong point of view and collaborate with humility and diplomacy to drive your vision forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of Seismic’s product, customer challenges, and the Sales Enablement space to deliver growth-driving, customer-retaining solutions.
• Translate product strategy into comprehensive roadmaps informed by customer input, cross-functional stakeholders, and market/competitive research.
• Build business cases for investment, integrating usability studies, research, and market analysis to recommend initiatives and articulate trade-offs to leadership.
• Develop specifications, negotiate & define scopes, and partner with design, engineering, and data science teams to deliver new customer capabilities.
• Work hands-on with data scientists to build AI & ML models and applications, from strategic planning to tactical execution, assessing tradeoffs and evaluating results.
• Define and analyze key metrics to inform decision-making and measure the success of product initiatives.
• Support the go-to-market process, collaborating with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure launch readiness and drive adoption.
• Engage with customers on security and privacy aspects of deploying AI models in various regulated and non-regulated industries.

Compensation

Seismic is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual base salary range for this Senior Product Manager AI Search position is USD $119,500.00 - USD $206,200.00, varying based on location, experience, skills, and internal equity. This role is also eligible for Seismic's incentive plans in addition to base salary.
