Manager, Private Equity and Hedge Fund Accounting
The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is growing rapidly and is seeking new members on our Private Equity & Hedge Fund Accounting Teams. Our primary goal is to provide exceptional customer service, accounting and administration services to our hedge and private equity fund customers. As a Fund Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the accounting operations and resolution of accounting issues for clients.
What you will do:
- As the main contact for clients, you will demonstrate expertise in offshore and domestic fund accounting and administration for alternative funds.
- Manage the delegation of funds to your team, coordinate/onboard new fund setups, serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams, and work closely with all parties to provide accurate and thorough accounting packages.
- Coordinate and support year-end audit engagements in accordance with GAAP accounting standards.
- Perform due-diligence to ensure clients are in compliance with government laws and regulations, and adhere to Anti-Money Laundering policies and procedures.
- Generate and reconcile all accounting reporting, such as month-end valuation reports, and review and approve month-end valuations prior to distribution to client.
- Authorize wire payments from fund’s escrow accounts and correspond with investment managers regarding day-to-day inquiries.
- Connect with investment managers, transfer agents, and sales and service teams to resolve open issues, and engage internal technology support and vendor support for production or system issues.
- Conduct performance appraisals, monthly one-on-ones with supervisors and analysts, and provide career pathing and training.
- Ensure staffing requirements are met by assessing resource needs, interviewing candidates, and hiring employees. Provide and champion a team environment, including individual development, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Support new business development and relationship teams for prospect calls, client visits, and presentations.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new and converted clients by gathering requirements, submitting custom requests, and communicating key deliverables to team members.
- Identify processes across the division and organization through professional development sessions.
What we need from you:
- BA/BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the fund services industry, alternatives experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory or management experience.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.

Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary pay for this role is $105,000 - $130,000 per year. This position will also be eligible to earn a discretionary bonus each year, subject to company approval.
