Job Description

The Senior Product Quality Leader supports product quality performance by investigating, prioritizing, and driving resolution of field quality issues. This role amplifies the voice of the customer within problem-solving processes and works cross-functionally with engineering, production, purchasing, and field service teams to ensure robust quality outcomes. The focus is on achieving quality goals and metrics related to fault frequency and warranty costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Chair the Field Quality Meeting (FQM) for assigned markets.
  • Lead the Quality Action Group (QAG) and coordinate the Product Quality Leader network.
  • Analyze and quantify customer quality issues using enhanced analytics.
  • Prioritize and drive quality actions across engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing.
  • Recommend and oversee containment actions and problem-solving tools.
  • Identify emerging issues and initiate pre-investigation processes.
  • Coordinate quality initiatives and communicate updates organization-wide.
  • Verify effectiveness of implemented quality solutions.
  • Present external campaign proposals and flag potential safety issues.
  • Challenge peers to ensure major issues are prioritized and addressed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related business field (Master’s preferred).
  • At least 5 years of automotive industry experience, preferably in service or maintenance roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams or managing projects.
  • Background in dealership operations or direct dealer interface is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize issues that benefit customer and brand.
  • Experience with quality solving processes, predictive analytics, and data mining.
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent relationship building skills.
  • Fluency in English; global experience advantageous.
