Job Description
Business Development Manager – Defence Engineering Services
Location: Derby 1 day per week, customer sites and home/remote Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Benefits Type: Full-Time | Permanent Industry: Engineering & Technical Staffing
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee sales of time and materials staffing, service centre, and work packages in the automotive sector.
- Develop and execute strategies to win new business with P&L accountability.
- Understand market needs and build lead generation through direct sales and thought leadership.
- Manage client relationships from engineering manager to director levels.
- Prepare compelling sales pitches, proposals and RFQ responses.
- Utilize CRM and status reporting to manage the entire sales cycle.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business through excellent follow-up.
Qualifications
This role is ideal for candidates seeking to grow in a commercial career or transition from technical/recruitment roles. Experience in business development with an existing network is preferred. Recruitment experience with a known customer network or a background in engineering with a drive for a commercial challenge is valued.
