About the role
Litigation Associate Attorney
Segal McCambridge, a respected national litigation firm, is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to join a national practice team. This is a fully remote position, supporting a wide-ranging national practice, although candidates may also work from any of our 20+ offices across the country if they prefer. This is a unique opportunity to gain meaningful litigation experience on high-stakes cases while working alongside nationally recognized trial attorneys.
What You’ll Do:
As a key member of our team, you’ll handle a variety of complex civil defense matters, including:
- Toxic tort (asbestos) litigation
- Premises liability
- Product liability
- General liability defense
From day one, you’ll gain hands-on experience: drafting pleadings, arguing motions, conducting depositions, managing discovery, and appearing in court. You’ll be mentored by experienced partners in a supportive, high-performance environment, with opportunities for growth and leadership.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (UBE jurisdictions preferred, with the ability to transfer scores if needed)
- 1–6 years of civil defense litigation experience
- Strong skills in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy
- Experience drafting pleadings, handling discovery, and managing motion practice
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Team-oriented mindset and proactive, ownership-driven approach
