Job Description
Head of Inclusive Design & Market Impact at See Me Please
We're looking for someone who has spent their career in accessibility, user research, or design, taking pride in digital experiences shaped within big enterprise organizations, but now seeking the freedom from corporate shackles. We are excited to hire our first UK and EU Front of House roles to open doors, build partnerships, and establish credibility in a market teeming with top designers at the world's biggest companies who are increasingly aware and hungry for what we offer.
This is a 'sales' role, but focused on 'Growth' rather than 'Gross'. You understand the vendor relationship from the other side and know the difference between genuine understanding and superficial jargon. We need someone who has lived and worked in accessibility, research, or design long enough to immediately speak the language of Heads of Design at major banks, government agencies, universities, or insurers, drawing from your own felt experiences.
This role sits at the intersection of growth, partnerships, and delivery. You will build relationships with individuals who care deeply about the universal usability of their services and are genuinely invested in customer feedback beyond mere compliance. Your credibility will open doors, and your curiosity will keep them open and generate value.
You will own significant portions of the EU market from day one, meaning you'll be responsible for building the pipeline, engaging in key discussions, shaping proposals, coordinating delivery, and ensuring promises are fulfilled. There's no handoff culture here; you'll remain close to the work throughout. If you're seeking a role to merely set strategy and delegate, this is not it. If you desire to build something real, close deals you genuinely believe in, and stay involved to see the impact, we should talk.
Why See Me Please
We are not accessibility experts ourselves; instead, we are building the platform that connects organizations with people who have lived experience. While a startup, we boast exceptional backing, including equity-free funding from the Australian Government, acknowledging our product's innovation value. We are at a pivotal moment: early stage, with proven enterprise customers, and now intentionally investing in product depth, repeatability, and revenue growth as we expand into our first international markets.
Our team comprises a small group of seasoned technologists and operators who have consciously left big-org bureaucracy to build something meaningful, modern, and refreshingly unburdened by excessive process.
What You Bring
- Background in accessibility consulting, UX research, service design, design or a related field; this provides your credibility in the room, even though our product positions you not as the direct expert.
- Experience working in or an openness to selling into government, higher education, banking, or insurance sectors. Our unique sales approach places the users our platform serves at its heart.
- Comfort operating in a startup environment where you'll build things from scratch and make decisions with incomplete information, working with a cool but evolving product.
- A genuine belief in our mission: that designing for the margins (users with disabilities, older users, or those relying on translation) genuinely improves universal usability for all customers.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder organizations.
- Entrepreneurial energy coupled with the follow-through to close deals and ensure projects land successfully.
If your career has been in accessibility or design and you're ready to channel that expertise into growth, this could be the most impactful experience of your career. Hustle for good. Apply now.
