Primary Purpose
The Claims Adjuster analyzes mid- and higher-level general auto claims to determine scope of damages, ensure adjudication within company standards and industry best practices, and identify subrogation opportunities while negotiating settlements.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Manage mid-level and high level auto commercial and personal line claims.
- Gather claim information and assign proper reserve values.
- Assess liability, process payments and settle claims.
- Negotiate settlements and manage subrogation efforts.
- Communicate with claimants and maintain professional client relationships.
- Ensure accurate documentation and proper claims coding.
Additional Functions and Qualifications
This role may involve occasional travel and additional duties as assigned. A bachelor’s degree and four years of claims management experience or equivalent are required. Professional certifications and secure state adjusting licenses are preferred.
Work Environment
Remote work environment with necessary accommodations. This role demands clear thinking, strong problem solving, organizational and communication skills along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
