Role: Quality Assurance Technician
This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining the Food Safety and Quality Culture. The technician will enforce GMPs, SOPs, PPE, HACCP, SSOPs, and ensure adherence through training, inspections, and process improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and train production teams in food quality and safety.
- Inspect incoming product quality and review best by dates.
- Implement process improvements, root cause evaluations, and CAPA closures.
- Train employees on quality standards, SOPs, and SSOPs.
- Conduct daily quality checks, equipment calibration, and environmental tests.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years’ experience in food production; a bachelor's degree is a plus. Supervisory skills, quality methodologies (internal auditing, CAPA, problem-solving), and solid computer and communication skills are required. Bilingual in Spanish and machining experience are advantageous.
Working Conditions
Must be physically able to stand for 8 hours, lift heavy weights, and work in a cold, wet environment. Flexibility to work weekends and overtime is required.
