Overview
Seaspan ULC is seeking an Intern Intellectual Property & Contract Compliance to support the development, implementation, and enhancement of tools and processes to manage and protect intellectual property across multiple shipbuilding programs. This role is essential in evolving Seaspan’s internal IP tracking tools and contributing to broader IP compliance efforts.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with remediation projects including review and cleanup initiatives.
- Supervise and review intellectual property statements on deliverables.
- Update intellectual property status on VSY deliverables.
- Prepare training materials and schedule sessions.
- Track files and maintain accurate records for compliance and audit.
- Support the development and enhancement of the IP App.
- Troubleshoot tool issues and respond to ad hoc IP support requests.
- Document technical changes, process workflows, and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, legal, compliance, and security.
What You’ll Bring
- Enrollment in a relevant 3rd or 4th year degree program (Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Pre-Law).
- Ability to secure a Canadian Government (CISD) Personal Security Clearance.
- Strong communication skills and digital literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate or similar low-code platforms.
- Excellent multitasking, prioritizing, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Initiative, creativity, and integrity with strong interpersonal skills.

Internship Details
- Full-time commitment: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Hourly rate: $26.00.
- Internship duration: January 12, 2026 to May 1, 2026 (4 Months).
- On-site location: 2 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver.
