Job Description
Overview
Join a purpose driven winning team at Scotiabank, working within the Global Corporate Affairs team. The Senior Manager, Canadian Banking Communications develops and implements communications plans for the Group Head for Canadian Banking and the EVP, Chief Operating Officer, Canadian Banking.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development, execution and distribution of communication plans.
- Write and edit key communications pieces including press releases, online content, videos and newsletters.
- Provide strategic communications advice to senior business leaders.
- Support thought leadership opportunities both internally and externally.
- Ensure alignment across global communications channels and calendars.
- Coordinate with internal business partners for execution of communications initiatives.
- Manage issues and develop key messaging for diverse audiences.
- Champion a high performing, inclusive environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate communications or a related field.
- Experience in a dynamic, knowledge-based environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to execute under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Undergraduate degree in a related field; post-graduate certificate in Public Relations is an asset.
