Manager, Content Writer, Scotia Global Asset Management

The Manager, Content Writer, contributes to the overall success of Scotia Global Asset Management, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

- Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Provides strategic editorial consistency, executional accuracy, and creative rigour for our Scotia Global Asset Management, Scotia Funds and Dynamic brands.
- Researches and develops strategic content for investor and advisor content for various educational and proprietary value-added programs.
- Provides editorial support for communication initiatives such as social media, publications, advertising, web copywriting, market commentaries, etc.
- Actively finds opportunities to leverage and amplify communications across brands and the bank.
- Provide clear direction and key information for creative input, direction, and guidance throughout the development of editorial campaigns and national event initiatives.

- Directs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
Skills
We’d love to work with you if you have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field (preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in editorial writing for brand, product, and website content
- Strong background in brand and editorial copywriting, with the ability to enhance structure, clarity, and narrative flow
- Proven ability to translate complex concepts into plain-language, engaging content for diverse audiences, including investors and advisors
- Solid understanding of the financial services and wealth management industry
- Ability to clearly articulate and present copy and creative ideas in response to briefs
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to take initiative to drive successful outcomes
- Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Authentic, decisive, resilient, highly collaborative, and results-oriented
Working Conditions
Mobile environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
