Job Description
The Role of a Cybersecurity Investigator
Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Cybersecurity Investigations, the Cybersecurity Investigator at Scotiabank works on data security cases stemming from the bank’s various security controls. This role involves collaborating with a variety of technologies and business lines to remediate and contain events that pose a network or data risk to the bank.

Skills Required for the Cybersecurity Investigator Role
We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a Security Operations Centre or as a Cybersecurity Analyst.
- Post-secondary education or a minimum of 5 years professional work experience.
- Advanced communication (verbal/written/presentation) skills in English. The same in Spanish is a strong asset.
- Experience in managing incident calls and interfacing with multiple stakeholders for accountability.
- Familiarity with working in large professional organizations.
- An understanding of basic computing, networking, and cybersecurity concepts.
- Curiosity about emerging threats and technologies and are interested in applying these to the business.
- Spent a lot of time learning about the field of cybersecurity, perhaps getting practical hands-on experience at home using publicly-available CTFs and labs.
- Certifications (Sec+, CySA+, Net+, A+, CISSP Associate).
- Willingness to participate in a rotational 24/7 support model to ensure continuous coverage and rapid incident response.
