Job Summary
The Foodservice Regional Sales Manager, Metro NY will travel 65% of the time throughout the Metro NY region, selling ground beef directly to foodservice operators. This role dedicates 15% of time to working with distributors and 20% to other related activities. The Metro NY region includes Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island, and North Jersey. The Regional Sales Manager must reside within the Metro NY region. This position requires an individual who thrives in a high-paced environment, managing and developing all aspects of their assigned region, including the oversight of broker partners.
Requirements
- Must live in the Metro NY Region.
- Currently sells to Foodservice Operators, making hands-on, in-person sales calls every week.
- A minimum of 2 years of sales experience in Metro NY managing and growing Foodservice distributors, both Independent and Broadline.
- Experience opening new foodservice distribution by conversion and/or securing business with large volume operators.
- Experience managing, growing, and holding accountable a foodservice broker.
- Experience with maintaining a sales reporting system; Salesforce is preferable.
- Must be able to track sales performance (AOP) and report on deliverables monthly.
Other Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel by auto & air transportation independently.
- Ability to reach executive management within distribution channels.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office platform, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving, consulting skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze and utilize sales data to develop sales plans.
- Food experience is a requirement.
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, work independently, and meet necessary deadlines.
What We Offer
- Compensation: The expected compensation for this role is $115,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
