Senior Software Engineer - Back Office Development

Schonfeld Strategic Advisors LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Back Office Development to expand and maintain its real-time clearing and trade processing platform in New York, New York and Miami, Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy solutions to optimize complex workflows with minimal supervision.
  • Contribute to a highly supportable, future-ready, and performant code base without latency.
  • Build microservices using a modern tech stack on AWS and Docker.
  • Review code and mentor junior developers using languages like C++, Java, or Python.
  • Utilize cloud services (AWS) and DevOps methodologies (CI/CD) for automation.
  • Lead continuous improvement and expansion of platform capabilities using Agile practices.
  • Interact with business stakeholders to gather use cases and observe workflows.
  • Manage communications with product owners, business analysts, and other technology teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of software development experience in post trade processing.
  • Experience with programming languages (C++, Java, Python) to develop and deploy solutions.
  • Proficient with RDBMS and Cloud based databases.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Git and containerization/orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
  • Experience with AWS and DevOps methodologies (CI/CD, build automation).
  • Relevant financial industry experience, including T-0 matching platforms.

Additional Information
