About the Role
Eyeline, Scanline VFX's virtual production division, is seeking a proactive Project Manager to drive technology initiatives that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our Studio Operations and Production Management teams. In this execution-focused role, you will lead projects that enhance workflows from sourcing and tracking new business leads, project bidding, scenario planning, crew management, and production oversight on platforms like ShotGrid.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.
- Convert greenlit initiatives into structured projects with scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Create phased roadmaps prioritizing high-impact solutions and tools.
- Manage stakeholder communications ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively escalate challenges, assess scenarios, and propose viable solutions.
- Ensure best practice reporting with visibility into milestones, risks, and statuses.
- Bring together SMEs and key users for continuous feedback and practical solutions.
- Support operational handovers ensuring seamless transitions to long-term owners.
- Provide project management guidance to teams without a dedicated Project Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, technology, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies; certifications are a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Visual Effects, Studio Operations, and Production Management with at least 3 years in a project management role.
- Experience managing various project lifecycles including software development, creative production, operational processes, infrastructure deployments, and product launches.
- Familiarity with production tools like ShotGrid and crew management platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven leadership and time management abilities.
Compensation & Location
Salary range: $70,000 - $125,000 a year for the Vancouver, BC location.
