The Web Developer role at Scale Army Careers is fully remote and supports U.S.-based clients. Candidates from LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe are welcome as long as they can work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.
Role Overview
This role involves building, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress-based websites to meet direct response goals. You will be collaborating with designers, content teams, and digital marketers to deliver responsive, high-performing websites that drive conversions.
Key Responsibilities
- WordPress Development & Customization: Develop and customize WordPress themes, plugins, and templates based on client specifications.
- Implement responsive, SEO-optimized websites in collaboration with design and marketing teams.
- Troubleshoot WordPress-related issues focusing on performance, security, and integrations.
- Integrate APIs, e-commerce functionalities, and custom features for direct response campaigns.
- Collaboration & Quality Assurance: Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance user engagement and conversion rates.
- Conduct code reviews, adhere to best practices, and maintain version control using Git.
- Stay current with WordPress updates and emerging web development trends.
- Ongoing Maintenance & Support: Assist with website migrations, and provide ongoing maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
Required experience includes 3+ years in web development with a strong focus on WordPress. You should have proven experience with PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL along with familiarity in front-end frameworks, version control, and security protocols. A portfolio showcasing your WordPress projects is essential.
