About the Role
This Strategic Legal & Commercial Operations role is a senior individual contributor position designed for an operator. The role sits at the intersection of legal, compliance, revenue, and strategy. You will be responsible for tackling high-leverage, complex problems and translating legal and compliance constraints into real business decisions.
What You’ll Do
You will:
- Partner with Sales on deal structuring, MSAs, amendments, and negotiations
- Support Client Success with scope changes, renewals, pricing adjustments, and edge cases
- Pressure-test marketing claims, positioning, and go-to-market ideas
- Act as primary interface with external counsel and translate guidance into action
- Own insurance workflows end-to-end
- Build financial and decision models in Google Sheets
- Evaluate new initiatives for risk, unit economics, and scalability
- Manage cross-functional projects that span multiple teams
What You Bring
You should have:
- Strong legal fluency without the intent to practice law
- Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and making judgment calls
- Experience with contracts, commercial terms, and risk exposure
- Ability to model in Google Sheets and interpret P&L statements
- Confidence in dealing with clients, executives, and cross-functional teams
- An operator mindset focused on outcomes rather than perfect documentation
- Clear communication skills and strong business intuition
