The Opportunity: Marketing & Copywriting Assistant
This fully remote role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe, requiring availability during U.S. business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST) to support U.S.-based clients.
The Marketing & Copywriting Assistant will be pivotal in supporting day-to-day content operations, encompassing writing, content optimization, newsletter support, and social media scheduling. This position demands strong writing skills, a foundational understanding of SEO, and proficiency in using AI tools to enhance, rather than replace, the creative process. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and adept at balancing structured workflows with creative output in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Scheduling & Management: Schedule content across major platforms like Facebook (via Meta Business Suite), Pinterest, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Utilize scheduling tools to organize upcoming posts, ensuring consistent engagement and community-building efforts. Maintain a reliable posting calendar for timely and accurate content delivery.
- Writing & Copy Editing: Develop and refine short- and long-form content, including blog posts, email newsletters, YouTube video scripts, and social media captions. Skillfully repurpose content across various platforms, tailoring messages to readers while maintaining brand voice. Employ AI tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini to aid content creation, diligently revising outputs to meet high editorial and SEO standards. Apply fundamental SEO principles, including keyword usage, headers, and meta descriptions, with a primary focus on reader experience.
- Content Optimization & SEO: Update existing blog content in line with current SEO best practices, enhancing readability, formatting, and keyword alignment. Assist in formatting new recipe posts, strengthening internal linking, and identifying opportunities to expand content based on reader interest or seasonal trends. Conduct light keyword research and integrate findings into ongoing SEO initiatives and new content development.
- Process Execution & Team Collaboration: Adhere to detailed checklists and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent content quality. Collaborate on weekly and monthly priorities, including YouTube planning, content scheduling, and campaign execution. Participate in training and onboarding, demonstrating flexibility with evolving workflows and strategy adjustments. Occasionally, track post performance using Google Analytics and platform insights to inform future optimization efforts.
Qualifications
Experience
- 2+ years in digital marketing, copywriting, or content creation for blogs, newsletters, or social media.
- Proficiency with Meta Business Suite (required).
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices and Google Analytics.
- Experience with Trello or similar project management tools preferred.
Skills
- Native-level English proficiency with a warm, clear, and reader-focused writing style.
- Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, including keyword integration and content formatting.
- Comfortable integrating AI writing tools into workflows without overreliance.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to consistently follow checklists while managing multiple tasks.
