About the role
BRACE Knowledge Management Consultant
Save the Children Australia is seeking a Knowledge Management (KM) Consultant for a short-term consultancy assignment from May 2026 to May 2027. This is a remote, part-time consultancy opportunity.
About Save the Children and 54 reasons:
Join an organization where your purpose matters. We value a healthy work-life balance, foster connections among our team, and highlight our impact. Learn from inspiring individuals and grow through our extensive local and global networks. From our programs to our support services, this is the place to realize your purpose.
About the project:
Save the Children Australia (SCA) manages the Building the Climate Resilience of Children and Communities through the Education Sector (BRACE) programme, funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and Global Partnership for Education (GPE). The program operates in Cambodia, South Sudan, Tonga, and globally. Component 3 focuses on global coordination and learning, connecting education and climate stakeholders to enhance climate action within the sector. The core product is the Climate Change and Education website (climateandeducation.org), a primary global hub for climate-resilient education. Launched in March 2026, the website offers practical tools, evidence, and resources for building climate-resilient education systems. It includes news, events, think pieces, and a resource library covering topics such as National Adaptation Plans, Nationally Determined Contributions, climate investment planning, resilient school infrastructure, risk management, and climate literacy. The website aims to enable knowledge exchange and highlight country experiences to support urgent climate action in education, which currently receives limited climate finance. The website is hosted as a microsite on weADAPT, a global climate knowledge hub with over 10,000 users from more than 2,000 organizations across 141 countries. This microsite is co-managed with the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), which operates weADAPT. Resources can be contributed by external parties and undergo a structured intake and SCA quality review process aligned with an agreed taxonomy.
