About The Job
The FSI sales team is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to join one of our platinum accounts. This role focuses on shaping data and AI strategies, modernizing solutions, and driving revenue growth within a key client relationship. You will lead customer engagement, foster long-term satisfaction, and grow SAS business by collaborating across departments for a customer-centric strategy. The position requires expert knowledge of industry software and hardware, strategic selling skills, and the ability to negotiate global Enterprise Agreements in complex environments. Success in joint planning and execution is crucial to achieving SAS’s goals of delivering value and expanding our presence.
This role is based in Paris, France, with a hybrid working model and requires travel as per business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-year strategic account plans with a cross-functional team to meet customer objectives and SAS revenue goals.
- Lead and align a matrix sales team according to the strategic account plan, in collaboration with SAS Sales Leadership.
- Take full accountability for international projects and initiatives, engaging extended SAS account teams including sales support, post-sales, R&D, Hosting, and Executive/C-Suite leadership.
- Drive joint account planning and execution aligned with the Strategic Accounts delivery framework, collaborating with executive sponsors and functional leaders.
- Grow new software and cloud revenue by demonstrating strategic value, transformational sales capabilities, and deep understanding of the customer's industry and SAS offerings.
- Conduct business development to identify business needs and translate them into innovative SAS capabilities with sales support functions.
- Manage and resolve high-risk escalation issues for the strategic customer, balancing SAS and customer interests.
- Regularly align all post-sales lines of business behind the strategic account plan, flagging challenges and opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in developing and executing multi-year strategic plans.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Banking industry specifics.
- Ability to analyze territory dynamics, develop sales plans, and communicate technical and business concepts relating to SAS applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of SaaS complex solution sales, with a focus on data analytics and AI (including Generative AI).
- Awareness of SAS solutions and services is preferred.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered.
