About Sargent & Lundy
We’re looking for an experienced and energetic Internal Communications Specialist to join Sargent & Lundy’s Corporate Communications team. You’ll play a crucial role executing strategic internal initiatives designed to enhance employee engagement, evolve our corporate culture, and maintain our rigorous quality standards. You’ll create clear, compelling content for stakeholders across multiple internal channels and help plan and execute initiatives that support leadership priorities and business objectives. Strong written and verbal communication skills, professional judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively are essential.
This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on communicator who:
- Has a passion for writing, editing, and proofreading engaging copy, with strong AP Style skills.
- Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and can manage multiple projects independently and proactively.
- Is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable interacting with senior leadership and subject matter experts across the organization.
- Can develop complementary visual elements to support content.
Main Responsibilities Include
- Develop and execute engaging internal communications for a variety of channels, including email, intranet, e-newsletters, digital signage, and all-hands meetings.
- Provide a range of internal stakeholders with writing and editing support, with an emphasis on AP Style (and an appreciation for the Oxford comma).
- Partner with internal teams and business leaders to plan, draft, and refine messaging that is consistent with Sargent & Lundy’s brand, core values, and voice.
- Translate complex or technical information into clear, accessible, and engaging content for employees.
- Develop graphics and visual elements that enhance written content.
- Manage images and other digital assets for internal corporate communications initiatives, helping maintain an organized, usable asset library.
- Stay current on emerging internal communications tools, strategies, and global best practices to proactively recommend enhancements.
- Support the broader Corporate Communications team with additional projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, or similar.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a corporate environment or agency setting.
- Excellent technical, business, editing, and creative writing skills with exceptional AP Style knowledge (writing samples will be required).
- Experience developing intranet content and supporting digital platforms.
- Proven experience developing organizational change management communications with a strong working knowledge of OCM frameworks and best practices.
- Ability to navigate rapidly shifting priorities and manage multiple high-pressure deadlines independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Superior social skills with the confidence to interact with and advise all levels of senior management.
- Sharp attention to detail and a solution-oriented approach to complex problem-solving.
- Advanced PowerPoint proficiency.
- Basic creative design experience.
- Experience with photo and video editing software (Adobe Creative Cloud) is a significant plus.
