About The Role
As a Technical Product Manager - Risk at Sardine, you will be instrumental in designing and delivering the robust tools that safeguard our customers from financial crime. This high-impact, high-autonomy position requires deep expertise in fraud and the ability to translate complex risk problems into elegant, scalable product solutions. You will own the entire product lifecycle from roadmap definition to execution, collaborating closely with Engineering, Data, and Operations teams, integrating with leading vendors, and building real-time fraud detection and prevention systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work closely with product designers, data analysts, and engineering teams to define detailed product specifications, review technical capabilities, prioritize projects, and create & steer the fraud risk product roadmap.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers to identify and prioritize the highest-impact risk features.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of our product, from scoping projects to execution and final delivery, including comprehensive documentation.
- Lead integrations with fraud and identity vendors, strategically evaluating build-vs-buy decisions for optimal solutions.
- Design innovative fraud detection methods and tools, continuously monitoring data to build and enhance a robust fraud detection and prevention system.
- Build a best-in-class Risk solution that is loved and trusted by Risk teams globally.
What You’ll Need
- 7+ years of product management experience.
- 4+ years specifically focused on Risk, Fraud, or Trust & Safety products.
- Strong analytical skills and a proven comfort working closely with data to inform strategic decisions.
- Demonstrated success in delivering products that involve fraud detection, scoring, or prevention systems.
- Familiarity with various fraud typologies, including Account Takeover (ATO), card fraud, bank fraud, and their associated tradeoffs.
- Experience integrating or evaluating third-party vendors such as Socure, Sift, or Alloy.
- An ability to effectively balance customer friction, fraud loss, and system performance.
- Clear, collaborative communication skills across diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- (Bonus) Understanding of 3DS, device intelligence, or identity verification flows.
