In this full-time permanent role, the Instrumentation Mechanic will be part of the Maintenance team and involved in routine/preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and the building.

Shift & Compensation

This position operates on a Wed – Sat shift from 10:00 PM to 7:30 AM at a rate of $50.10 per hour.

Responsibilities

The Instrumentation Mechanic will:

  • Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems with pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices.
  • Install, repair, and service process control instrumentation including transmitters, controllers, analyzers, and control valves.
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance and calibration as per manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot, tune industrial processes, and support automation of manufacturing processes.
  • Commission new equipment and perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Certified Red Seal Journeyman Instrument Mechanic credentials.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • PLC training and experience (an asset).
  • Strong mechanical abilities and general plant/equipment maintenance skills.
  • Experience in the food industry or high speed packaging.
  • Proven troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • A high level of self-motivation and safety record.
