SAP AI Product Engineering is a vital part of the SAP Business AI unit, driving the Intelligent Enterprise by infusing Artificial Intelligence capabilities into all enterprise applications. We are responsible for foundational products such as SAP Generative AI Hub, AI Core, and AI Launchpad, which enable application developers to embed AI into their solutions. What You’ll Do as a Senior Platform Engineer - SAP Generative AI Hub
- Explore, understand, and implement the latest technologies and approaches for SAP Generative AI Hub and AI Core.
- Build secure, scalable, and resilient applications and services within a microservices-based architecture using Python, Go, or Java.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring solutions, and developer productivity tools.
- Collaborate with global teams across time zones using scrum and agile development methodologies.
- Utilize Kubernetes as a stack for deploying applications.
- Develop both backend services and frontend components to ensure a seamless end-to-end developer experience.
- Perform quality assurance tasks, resolve complex integration issues, and continuously improve system scalability and performance.
- Contribute to release-level activities, DevOps tooling improvements, and central CI/CD initiatives.
- Quickly ramp up on the SAP ecosystem, specifically the Business Technology Platform (BTP).
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 8–12 years of hands-on experience in professional software development and full-stack engineering.
- Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software design principles.
- Proficiency in one or more programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript & Go, with the ability to design and implement scalable backend services.
- Mastery of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of cloud-native development and hands-on exposure to platforms and technologies such as Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker, and public cloud providers including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Solid knowledge of SCM tools (e.g., Git/GitHub).
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong understanding of modern API design, microservices communication patterns, and software engineering best practices including code reviews, automated testing, version control, and secure development.
- Ability to design robust System Architecture & Design that are scalable and efficient, often acting as a software architect to align technical solutions.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for distributed systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a collaborative, proactive, and enthusiastic mindset and a strong passion for coding and problem-solving.

- Familiarity with Generative AI, Foundation Models, and LLMs.
- Exposure to LLM-based application development.
