What You’ll Build

One of SAP’s strategic customers has conducted a transformation program, part of which is to consume their entire SAP landscape as an enhanced private cloud model provided by SAP with more than 80 productive systems and several of the largest SAP HANA-based systems. To provide the right level of service, a dedicated team has been set up within SAP Enterprise Cloud Services to work for this strategic client. The goal of this team is to operate the entire customer SAP landscape and drive innovation adoption as the customer is at the start of a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation program.

Key Responsibilities

• Deep understanding of customer landscape from technical and business perspectives including its interfaces.
• Strong collaboration with the customer for planning and operations.
• Align on upcoming changes with the Release Management and plan the execution accordingly.
• Root Cause analysis for Service requests failures/outages, performance issues – continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ensure high availability of customer service by supporting service restoration in critical situations and working proactively on the stability of the landscape.
• Support productization of services including, if required, initial setup, documentation, and standardization.
• Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives like right-sizing instances and adapting to standard.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, Mathematics, or a comparable field.
• Professional experience in Cloud Delivery related fields and technologies.
• Good expertise of public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) with a focus on Azure.
• 2-3 years’ experience in Linux HA clusters, preferably Pacemaker, with relevant trainings/certifications.
• Good knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, architecture, and design.
• Interest in Security related topics.
• Fundamental SAP product knowledge is a plus (Application, Database, Server management) and the ability to analyze issues and system architectures.
• Knowledge of the whole technology stack.
• Ability to own and coordinate operational tasks, customer escalations, and process improvements.
• Fluent in English language is a must; German language skills are beneficial.
• Expertise in implementing and managing high availability clustering solutions, especially Pacemaker.
