Software Engineer - Frontend (React/Typescript/Javascript/GraphQL/OpenAPI REST/CSS)

Santander Auto Software is a fully remote business established in late 2021 within the Leasing Domain of Santander. We began as a small team of software engineers, operating like a startup. What You Will Be Doing

We are seeking frontend engineers experienced in developing and implementing user interface components using React.js concepts and workflows like Redux and Hooks, with experience in a software on-demand production environment. You will build cloud-native, AWS-based, greenfield software, with ample time and support to devise solutions for a wide array of user, business, and technical challenges.

Experience

• Sustained professional experience in Frontend development, working with React.js.
• Experience with Redux, Webpack, Hooks.
• Strong knowledge of Javascript, CSS, HTML, and Frontend languages.
• Production deployment experience working with AWS.
• Experienced in true Agile and its engineering practices with a true DevOps mindset.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing, and evolving our frontend architecture.
• Monitoring and improving frontend performance.
• Reviewing application requirements and interface designs.
• Designing and delivering functional and quality software, focusing on developing code from scratch through to live running code.
• Designing functional software (objects & modules).
• Designing and implementing performant software using documented algorithms and methods of software optimization on the team's functional platform tech stack.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, test, and deliver new features and to articulate technical concepts to the business and technical community.
• Developing code, performing tests, trials, and quality checks to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
• Maintaining and improving systems and software codes to support and enhance the product.
• Working on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Keeping detailed records of development processes.
• Continuously discovering, evaluating, and implementing new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Gathering and evaluating user feedback.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field. Or equivalent work experience.
