Overview
At Sanofi, the Digital Risk and Compliance Data Scientist works within the Digital Risk & Compliance Team to drive risk management and compliance in the digital function. The role involves partnering with digital product teams, translating compliance requirements into effective controls, and leveraging automation, self-service predictive/prescriptive risk monitoring.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business teams to translate data opportunities into technical requirements.
- Gather and analyze data from various sources to propose data models.
- Apply statistical methods and machine learning techniques for insights extraction.
- Design, implement, and fine-tune AI/ML models using diverse algorithms.
- Create clear charts, graphs, and dashboards for findings presentation.
- Support senior team members by translating business requirements into technical needs.
Profile & Qualifications
Over 3 years experience in complex data science projects, preferably in healthcare or risk and compliance. A Master’s Degree or PhD in a quantitative field is preferred, along with strong coding skills. Proficiency in Python and experience with cloud environments and data visualization tools are essential.
Technical & Soft Skills
- Hands-on AI/ML model development and exploratory data analysis.
- Experience in production-ready software development and deployable models.
- Proficiency in Python, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), and version control.
- Good communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment & Location
This position is based in Barcelona with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days office and 2 days remote), and it is part of Sanofi's global Digital Risk & Compliance Centre of Expertise.
