About the Accelerator Staff Software Engineer Role
This role is designed to bring new medicines to patients faster by setting technical direction across multiple teams. You will proactively remove blockers, build scalable and reliable platforms, and mentor engineers to deliver with speed, quality, and compliance.
Main Responsibilities
Scope & Impact: Serve as a technical leader, shape technical direction for complex systems, lead cross-team initiatives and unlock productivity gains.
Prioritization & Execution: Own technical decisions for critical projects, resolve bottlenecks and balance pragmatism with technical excellence to accelerate delivery.
Technical Excellence: Design robust software solutions, enforce technical standards, and champion CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure as code.
Coaching & Mentorship: Mentor senior engineers and foster an inclusive culture of excellence and innovation.
Leadership & Collaboration: Act as a bridge across engineering, product, and scientific teams while representing engineering in external discussions.

Candidate Profile
About You: You possess strong problem-solving skills, are service-oriented, proactive, and an excellent communicator in English. You embrace a growth mindset and have innovative, collaborative leadership qualities.
Your Background: Significant experience in software engineering. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent is a plus. Experience in fast-paced, innovative environments and a proven track record of leading technical initiatives and mentoring is required.
Technical Requirements
- Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript (Node.js)
- Experience with React or similar frameworks
- Expertise in CI/CD and modern DevOps practices
- Understanding of microservice architectures, API design, and cloud security
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK) on major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
