Overview

At SanMar, the work you do makes a difference. As a Product Development Manager, you will manage the development and production of SanMar products from initial concept to a commercialized finished product. You will work closely with product, merchandising, and technical design teams to drive new product development, cost savings, responsible sourcing, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the product development process from design to commercialization.
  • Develop fabric, trims, and styles with suppliers and manage color development.
  • Research trends by attending industry shows and meeting with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Technical Design and cross-functional teams for seasonal development.
  • Manage product lifecycle including cost engineering, forecasting, and capacity planning.
  • Oversee quality assurance, supplier management, and compliance requirements.
  • Train junior team members and support their development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years in product development/production management.
  • Strong background in technical development of bags, luggage, and soft goods.
  • Understanding of garment/textile manufacturing and vendor compliance.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and people skills.

What We Offer

  • Salary range between $77,970 and $115,000 annually.
  • Annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.

Work Environment

This role is hybrid with regular hours from 8:00 to 5:00 PST at SanMar's Eastpointe office near Seattle, WA. Quarterly travel may be required.
