Position Overview

The Staff Engineer for Static Timing Analysis (STA) will join a talented team ensuring the timing performance and integrity of complex semiconductor designs. This role demands deep expertise in STA methodologies, leadership skills, and strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own subsystem level STA and guide the PnR team for timing closure.
  • Collaborate with IP & design teams for timing constraints development and review.
  • Develop and implement advanced STA methodologies for complex IC designs.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal timing performance.
  • Develop and maintain STA scripts and tools to automate timing analysis.
  • Conduct detailed timing analysis, identify critical paths and strategize improvements.
  • Stay updated on STA industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive timing reports and technical documentation.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Static Timing Analysis.
  • Proficient with STA tools such as Synopsys PrimeTime, Cadence Tempus, and Constraints Manager.
  • Solid understanding of digital design, physical design, and semiconductor fabrication.
  • Excellent problem-solving, strategic and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional teamwork.
  • Experience with advanced process nodes (e.g., 7nm, 5nm) is highly desirable.
