Job Description

As a Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable cloud services supporting data lakehouse architectures and AI/ML applications in Milpitas, California. This role is key in building robust, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructures that enable advanced analytics and machine learning workstreams at Sandisk.

• Design and implement scalable, highly available, secure Azure cloud architectures.
• Develop solutions for data lakehouse and AI workloads using Azure services.
• Create scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Databricks.
• Manage infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Bicep.
• Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to optimize cloud environments.
• Ensure security, compliance, and cost-efficiency.
• Automate deployments with CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior staff and support cloud engineering practice growth.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 10-12 years of experience and 5-7 years in Microsoft Azure. Proficiency with services such as Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Machine Learning, Kubernetes Service, Functions, and Logic Apps. Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and governance in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Python) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Preferred: Microsoft Azure certifications and knowledge in additional cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
