DevOps Infrastructure Systems Administrator

We’re looking for a talented DevOps Infrastructure Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team in Cambridge on an inside IR35 contract for an initial 6 months with the view to extend further. This is a hybrid role, requiring onsite presence 3 days each week.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Network Management: Oversee Cisco switches, core switching, VLANs, and interconnects, managing wireless systems and configuring firewalls including Palo Alto, Checkpoint, and Secui.
  • Server Management: Handle Dell, Intel, and AMD servers with hands-on experience in Windows (AD, Exchange) and Linux (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu), as well as managing VMware ESXi for virtualization.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and manage security protocols to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Performance Optimisation: Diagnose, resolve issues, and optimise system configurations for peak performance.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Cisco Expertise: Preference for Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) or equivalent experience in networking.
  • Firewall Experience: Proven experience with Palo Alto and Checkpoint, with Secui being a plus.
  • Server Management: Competence in managing Dell, Intel, AMD servers, and multiple OS configurations.
  • Networking Skills: Proficient in TCP/IP networking, addressing, subnetting, and routing.
  • Additional Advantage: Familiarity with NetApp storage systems.
