Position Summary
Samsung, a world leader in advanced semiconductor technology, invites you to join the Samsung Austin Research and Development Center (SARC) and Advanced Computing Lab (ACL). As the GPU ML Architect, you will design and develop innovative machine learning solutions for graphics processing units (GPUs) that serve mobile, automotive, and custom market segments.
Role And Responsibilities
You will work on developing ML features integrated with the graphics pipeline, improving middleware performance for ML workloads, and creating hardware optimizations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze workloads, model performance, and design new features for image classification and large vision models.
- Write clear technical specifications for ML features.
- Optimize GPU architectures for ML workloads.
- Enhance middleware to boost performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the graphics pipeline team for seamless integration.
- Analyze and model workloads to identify performance bottlenecks.
Skills And Qualifications
A strong background in machine learning principles, compute architectures and performance optimization is essential. Proficiency in C++, Python, or similar languages and familiarity with ML frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch are preferred. Experience with LLMs, LVMs, image classification, and graphics architecture is a plus.

Total Rewards & Benefits
The position offers competitive base pay between $174,557 and $305,414, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more. Additional incentives such as bonuses and potential long-term incentives may be available.
