About the Role

Samsara is looking for a Sr. Compliance Engineer responsible for product certification processes for various electrical and electronic equipment in Mexico and the EU. This role oversees all hardware compliance activities required to launch multiple product lines worldwide.

This position is remote for candidates residing in the United States, excluding the San Francisco Bay, NYC, and Washington, D.C. metro areas.

Your Responsibilities

• Research and stay current with compliance standards and regulations.
• Obtain and maintain hazardous location approvals for device materials.
• Prepare documentation to demonstrate regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and support on-site lab testing.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Train team members on compliance processes.
• Continuously improve processes and adapt to changes throughout product lifecycles.
• Champion Samsara’s cultural principles and values.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar technical field.
• 10+ years in hardware development and regulatory processes.
• Proven track record with international product compliance and safety standards.
• Hands-on experience with cellular and wireless communication technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling product compliance from concept to global sale.
• Familiarity with documenting technical requirements and working with third-party labs.
• Ability to remain flexible and creative in a fast-paced environment.
