Solutions Engineer

About The Role

Sama is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to address complex customer challenges. This role bridges product and sales, collaborating with the GTM team to understand business needs and navigate intricate sales cycles. As a technical expert, you will offer consulting, perform value-based demonstrations, support enterprise Proof of Concepts, and develop custom solutions and integrations, all while highlighting the value of Sama’s services and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Sama Account Executives and Account Managers to deliver new customer pilots and cultivate technical relationships with existing clients.
• Lead technical scoping and requirements gathering to design sophisticated AI data solutions, providing machine learning expertise through product demos, proof-of-concepts, and workshops aligned with client objectives.
• Design, develop, and maintain demonstrations, integrations, and tools for successful pilot programs and customer expansions.
• Become a business and technical expert in Sama products, staying current with industry trends and emerging AI technologies.
• Evangelize Sama and engage with customers at major industry events and academic conferences.
• Collaborate with Product and R&D to influence the Product roadmap based on real-time industry insights.
• Work with fellow Solutions Engineers and technical teams to share best practices, lessons learned, and technical insights.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience within AI/ML companies.
• 4+ years of enterprise sales experience, including selling highly technical solutions to both business and technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong scripting proficiency in Python.
• Knowledge of AI and hands-on experience with ML models, including the ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the AI space.
• Ability to develop and articulate AI solutions that artfully balance the symbiosis between technology and humanity while solving key business problems.
• Demonstrated leadership through strong project management, creative problem-solving, and accountability of outcomes in fast-paced environments.
• Exhibited intellectual curiosity and empathy while thriving autonomously in ambiguous situations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience selling complex technical solutions to enterprise clients.
• Hands-on experience in AI, Computer Vision, or Robotics.
