Your Role at Saks Global
The SVP Brand Partnerships & Buying Leader is a critical leadership role responsible for setting overall merchandise strategy across designated divisions. This role involves aligning long-term goals with corporate strategy, driving high-level vendor negotiations, and ensuring cohesion between strategic planning, product assortment, and execution.
What You Will Do
- Set and lead the broader division/category merchandise strategy.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to address key business drivers.
- Lead top-to-top meetings and manage vendor and contract negotiations.
- Drive alignment between strategy, product assortment, and business execution.
- Oversee long-term planning while balancing short term financial targets.
- Manage in store real estate, leases and CapEx projects.
- Resolve pricing, promotional, and markdown conflicts.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management or related field.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in retail and merchandising.
- 7+ years in a senior leadership role with enterprise-level strategy responsibility.
- Strong expertise in merchandising strategy, vendor relations, and contract negotiations.
- Proven experience in managing large teams and cross-functional projects.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
