About the Role
The Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement process in line with Saipem’s policies and project requirements. This includes identifying and evaluating suppliers, issuing requests for quotation, negotiating terms and conditions, and finalizing purchase orders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. The role involves close coordination with project teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to secure high-quality materials and services while ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers according to project and company requirements.
- Issue inquiries, review bids, and conduct negotiations to achieve optimal commercial and contractual terms.
- Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders and related documentation.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, planning, and logistics teams to align procurement with project schedules.
- Ensure compliance with Saipem procurement procedures, HSE standards, and ethical practices.
