Job Description

About Saint Laurent

Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first couture house to launch the concept of luxury ready-to-wear by creating, in 1966, the 'Rive Gauche' line, synonymous with youth and freedom. This change represented a crucial first step in modernizing fashion and revolutionized the socio-cultural landscape. In 1999, the luxury division of the Kering Group acquired the Yves Saint Laurent house and, under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello since April 2016, continues to position it at the pinnacle of the luxury world. Today, Saint Laurent collections include women's and men's ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties, and eyewear.

Mission

Reporting to the Training team within the Retail Excellence department, you will actively work to develop the product expertise and retail excellence of Saint Laurent teams by designing, adapting, and deploying impactful training programs, aligned with the Maison's DNA and the business objectives of the retail network.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy product training (in-person and digital) on permanent collections, new items, and key launches.
  • Translate creative inspiration, know-how, and product history into engaging and accessible educational content.
  • Create premium training materials (presentations, guidelines, e-learning modules, videos) in perfect coherence with the Saint Laurent universe.
  • Collaborate closely with the Merchandising and Image teams to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the content.
  • Design and lead retail training focused on customer experience, Maison standards, sales ceremony, and storytelling.
  • Train teams on the fundamentals of retail performance: conversion, average basket, UPT, loyalty, and clienteling.
  • Support field teams in adopting best practices and operational standards.
  • Train and coach managers on team management, individual coaching, and performance monitoring.
  • Observe in-store practices and propose action plans adapted to local challenges.

Deployment & Follow-up

  • Support regions in the deployment and local adaptation of training modules.
  • Ensure the follow-up of training impact through qualitative and quantitative indicators.
  • Be proactive in the continuous improvement of content, formats, and teaching methods.
  • Contribute to transformation and upskilling projects for the retail network.

Profile

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in product training and/or retail training in the luxury sector.
  • Solid understanding of retail challenges, store performance, and key indicators.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills.
  • Attention to detail, creativity, and a perfect understanding of Saint Laurent codes.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and support change in the field.
  • Fluent English is essential.
Saint Laurent is committed to creating a diverse workforce. We believe that diversity in all its forms – gender, age, nationality, culture, religious beliefs, and sexual orientation – enriches the workplace. It opens opportunities for individuals to express their talents, both individually and collectively, and it helps strengthen our ability to adapt to a changing world.
