  • You must possess Right to Work eligibility in the UK.

Your Role as an Online Assistant

As an Online Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Picking and selecting the highest quality products for online customer orders, ensuring they are ready for home delivery or providing excellent substitutions when items are out of stock.
  • Utilising a dedicated handheld device that guides you through the store, detailing products to select and optimising your route and timing for each order.
  • Working efficiently behind the scenes to manage customer queries, process orders, and assist with loading vans for our Home Delivery Drivers.
  • Proactively engaging with customers, offering support, answering questions, and providing helpful recommendations.
  • Developing strong product knowledge regarding Sainsbury's products, services, and current promotions.
  • Demonstrating flexibility by working across different areas of the store as needed.

  • Friendly, welcoming, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping customers.
  • Proactive in solving problems, using initiative, and taking ownership of tasks.
  • Adaptable and productive, capable of maintaining high standards across various store functions. You will receive comprehensive training to learn new skills and explore development opportunities.
  • Eager to learn and utilise new digital tools and technology, including safely moving shopping containers weighing up to 15KG.
  • Possess excellent attention to detail, contributing to a clean, clutter-free store environment and an exceptional shopping experience.
