Job Overview

The Senior Systems Engineer role at SAIC supports the U.S. Army Tactical Aviation & Ground Munitions team onsite at Redstone Arsenal/Huntsville, AL. This position involves multidisciplinary technical efforts to optimize performance of launcher systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with multidisciplinary technical efforts to optimize launcher systems performance
  • Ensure technical integrity throughout the Acquisition Lifecycle Systems Engineering process including hardware, software, and integration domains during testing and system validation
  • Translate complex engineering data into strategic program decisions
  • Manage dynamic schedules and coordinate across diverse teams to mitigate risks and drive mission success

Required Education & Experience

BS degree plus 14 years of experience

Required Skills

  • Strong systems engineering knowledge
  • Experience in Acquisition Lifecycle Systems Engineering process
  • Ability to analyze and verify requirements
  • Skill in translating requirements into testable event objectives
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite

Clearance

Must have an active Interim Security DOD Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
