Job Overview
The Senior Systems Engineer role at SAIC supports the U.S. Army Tactical Aviation & Ground Munitions team onsite at Redstone Arsenal/Huntsville, AL. This position involves multidisciplinary technical efforts to optimize performance of launcher systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist with multidisciplinary technical efforts to optimize launcher systems performance
- Ensure technical integrity throughout the Acquisition Lifecycle Systems Engineering process including hardware, software, and integration domains during testing and system validation
- Translate complex engineering data into strategic program decisions
- Manage dynamic schedules and coordinate across diverse teams to mitigate risks and drive mission success
Required Education & Experience
BS degree plus 14 years of experience
Required Skills
- Strong systems engineering knowledge
- Experience in Acquisition Lifecycle Systems Engineering process
- Ability to analyze and verify requirements
- Skill in translating requirements into testable event objectives
- Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite
Clearance
Must have an active Interim Security DOD Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
