Original Job Summary
Overview
SAIC is seeking a Senior Radio Communication Engineer for the Air Operations Center Weapons System (AOC WS) Falconer Program. The position is located at the USAF customer site in Hampton, VA and requires extensive travel to AOC sites worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day sustainment and support of the AOC RF and Datalink baseline
- Support major upgrade projects and risk mitigation during transitions
- Assist site personnel with configuration, troubleshooting, and migration activities
- Attend and support technical exchange, integration, and fielding meetings
- Develop and update documentation including FSM and SSEP for installations and upgrades
- Track lessons learned and performance metrics and share with the team
Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years or Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in RF communications and configuration management. Must hold a Current DoD Secret security clearance and IAT Level 2 Certification (Sec+ or higher).
Desired Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
- Familiarity with military RF communication and datalinks
- Experience in mission management and command & control domains
- Expertise in RF/Datalink systems administration including configuration management processes
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as AN/PRC-117G, SATURN Waveform, Catalyst Switches, and HF radios
- Ability to troubleshoot radio networks and support technology integration
