Original Job Summary

Overview

SAIC is seeking a Senior Radio Communication Engineer to support the Air Operations Center Weapons System (AOC WS) Falconer Program at the USAF customer site in Hampton, VA. This role involves extensive travel, direct customer engagement, and technical support for the AOC Radio/Datalink baseline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sustain and support the installed AOC RF and Datalink baseline.
  • Support major upgrade projects and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide technical expertise, troubleshooting, and configuration management support.
  • Assist site personnel with training, configuration, and system migration.
  • Attend technical exchange and integration meetings, and track lessons learned.

Required Experience & Skills

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years experience, or a Master’s degree with 5+ years experience; industry certifications may substitute. A current DoD Secret clearance and IAT Level 2 Certification (Sec+ or higher) are required.

Desired Experience & Skills

  • Familiarity with military RF communications and Datalinks.
  • Experience with RF/Datalink systems administration and configuration management.
  • Hands-on experience with platforms like AN/PRC-117G, SATURN Waveform, and Catalyst Switches.
  • Experience troubleshooting radio networks and integrating new technologies.
