RF Systems Engineer at SAIC
SAIC is searching for an experienced Radio Frequency (RF) Systems Engineer to join our team at Nellis AFB, NV or Point Mugu, CA. In this role, you will support US Navy Jammer Technique Optimization (JATO) Group, focusing on Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA) capability development.
Responsibilities
- Contribute innovative technical concepts for RF technology on jamming platforms.
- Apply RF/microwave principles and system-level analysis methodologies.
- Collaborate through written and verbal communications with teams and management.
- Design experiments and validate plans to trace requirements.
- Conduct experiments in laboratory and field, including military events.
- Develop tools such as Target Return Emulators and Software Defined Radios.
- Establish guiding principles for jammers and receivers in stand-off jamming.
- Utilize RF test equipment like network/spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.
- Apply Systems Engineering to support large naval EW acquisition programs.
- Travel domestically or internationally to support experimentation and customer meetings.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors and nine (9) years of experience; four (4) years accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Skills
- Experience with Electromagnetic Warfare engineering.
- Defining and analyzing requirements in systems engineering.
- Programming with MATLAB/Simulink.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Required Clearance
Must have an active Top Secret SCI security clearance.
Desired Experience
- FPGA programming in Electronic Warfare.
- Experience with Cameo or SYSML for requirements refinement.
- DRFM system design background.
- Fundamental Radar and/or Communications Systems knowledge.
