Overview
SAIC is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support the Undersea Warfare and Support Market, focusing on US Navy contracts for MK48 MOD 7 torpedo hardware production and related efforts. This is a remote role with approximately 10% travel, primarily to Rhode Island, Indiana, and Northern Virginia.
Position Summary
The Project Scheduler is responsible for creating, updating, and coordinating detailed project schedules along with resource usage models in a cross-functional team environment using MS Project and related software.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
- Coordinate with project managers and technical teams.
- Identify scheduling issues and provide mitigation strategies.
- Utilize Microsoft Project for task and resource management.
- Prepare reports and perform variance analysis.
- Facilitate collaboration and integrate schedules with other Office tools.
Technical Focus Areas
Tasks include project setup, task management, resource management, critical path identification, baseline setting, progress tracking, and exposure to Project Online/Server.
Qualifications
- Experience: HS/GED (10 yrs), Associates (8 yrs), Bachelors (6 yrs) or Masters (4 yrs).
- Proficient in MS Project and Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of critical path methodology and earned value management (EVM).
- US Citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.
