IT Asset Management Analyst Position at SAIC

SAIC, a leading provider for the Intelligence Community, is seeking a creative and dedicated IT Asset Management Analyst (Asset and Logistics) to manage government property administration and inventory tasks. This role is located in either Bethesda, MD or McLean, VA.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets including location, status, and configuration.
  • Process new IT equipment and software requests with proper documentation.
  • Coordinate procurement, deployment, and retirement of IT assets using ITSM software.
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams for timely delivery.
  • Provide support for audits related to IT asset management.
  • Handle shipping, receiving, packaging, labeling, and tracking of IT assets.
  • Assist in environmentally compliant disposal and recycling of obsolete IT assets.
  • Adhere to inventory control and distribution procedures including proper invoicing and reporting.
  • Prepare and update government required reports.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely shipping and receipt of equipment.
  • Perform warehousing control to comply with government property and accountability regulations.
  • Establish and maintain annual inventory procedures and audit processes for full property accountability.
  • Track and report inventory metrics to maintain sufficient levels.

Required Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, management information systems, or equivalent. A minimum of 5 years of IT Asset Management experience is required. Advanced degrees may substitute experience requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of IT asset lifecycle management principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Comfortable in researching various enterprise IT related technologies.

Desired Qualifications

  • Certifications such as Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP).
  • Government Contract Experience.

Clearance Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance and the required polygraph.
