GEOINT Systems Engineer
SAIC is seeking a GEOINT Systems Engineer to support SAIC’s Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. This role supports the NRO’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED) and involves complete end-to-end lifecycle acquisition of systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate daily with development contractors, government personnel, and customers in GEOINT collection and mission processing.
- Interface with Prime Contractors to oversee software development and ensure compliance with government requirements.
- Perform engineering analysis to support lifecycle phases including architecture, requirements, and CONOPs.
- Advise senior managers on architectural decisions, investment strategies, and risk assessments.
- Conduct strategic planning for both mission architecture and program budgets.
- Assess performance, cost, schedule, and risks for existing ground architecture implementations.
- Evaluate vendor proposals by reviewing technical reports, design artifacts, and program plans.
- Coordinate program activities aligned with strategic priorities and performance standards.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s with 5+ years experience; Master’s with 3+ years; PhD with relevant experience can substitute degree requirements. Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Candidates should be familiar with Intelligence Community GEOINT systems, space and ground architecture, and agile acquisition strategies including continuous integration.
