Overview

SAIC is seeking a Data Analysis and Battery Testing Electrical Engineer to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support airborne lot testing and space applications, including programming files and assisting with vibration testing.
  • Become proficient in battery test methods: monitoring points, switching, circuit protections, wattage management, and time correlation.
  • Apply practical physicist application focus to engineering tasks, avoiding purely theoretical approaches.
  • Conduct Big Data analysis to predict failure modes and end-of-life characteristics of lithium-ion cells.
  • Assist other analysts in utilizing analytic platforms as needed.
  • Present findings, approaches, and processes to team members.

Required Experience and Clearance

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (2+ years experience) or Master's with 0 years experience. Interim Secret clearance required and US Citizenship is mandatory. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.

Desired Experience

  • Proficiency in LabView, MatLab, and C++.
  • Experience with DoD and/or NSWC Crane support.
  • Strong Computer Science skills to develop and maintain data pipelines using Power BI, R, Python, SQL, etc.
  • Experience with GitHub and Microsoft DevOps for code version control.
  • Ability to apply practical physicist and electrical engineering skills to testing tasks.
