Senior Mechanical Engineer at SAIC
SAIC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support TR-343 Transducers for the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Bedford, IN.
Role Overview
This role involves engineering, tactical and strategic planning, facilities support, operations, sustainment, and project management.
Mechanical Engineering Support Includes:
- Engineering Support: Project development, equipment repair, preventive maintenance, and infrastructure design.
- Tactical Facilities Support: Scope and cost estimates, project planning and tracking.
- Strategic Facilities Support: Requirements collection, cost estimates, investment recommendations, planning and tracking.
- Operations and Sustainment Support: Conduct surveys and inspections, condition assessments, project management support, and MHE fleet management.
- Space Configuration Management and CAD Support: Provide AutoCAD drawings, bill of materials, and layouts.
- Construction and Sustainment Project Management: Apply PMBOK principles to manage project cost, schedule, and technical documentation.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience in modeling, simulation, facility, and system design. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a secret clearance. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is required.
Desired Experience
Experience engaging with Government customers, developing scopes of work, parametric cost estimates, and detailed project schedules.
