Senior Hardware Engineer at SAIC
SAIC seeks an experienced Hardware Engineer Senior to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command. The role involves operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars crucial to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions.
Job Duties
- Perform electrical and mechanical (signal, power & thermal) analysis to the component level.
- Generate engineering drawings per ASME and IEEE standards, including rack assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and cable assemblies.
- Create CDRLs, DALs, specifications, schematics, wire lists, and technical data packages.
- Analyze supplier LRUs, review 3D models and step-files for compliance.
- Troubleshoot systems/subsystems and support lab/site integration, testing, and maintenance.
- Develop requirements and design replacement systems with forward-thinking solutions against emerging threats.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years' experience.
- Active Secret Clearance is required.
- Experience in system analysis, design modifications, and test hardware conformance.
- Knowledge of system integration, test support, and sustaining complex systems.
Desired Experience
- Experience with GBRs or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radars (e.g., PARCS, UEWR).
- Familiarity with Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment missions.
- Preferred Radar design experience.
