Role Overview

The Junior Cyber Security Analyst will support and enhance Sagard's cyber security posture. Based in Montreal, Toronto, or New York and reporting to the Director of Cybersecurity, you will be responsible for managing security platforms, initial SOC response, and deploying ongoing security initiatives across various domains.

Responsibilities

  • Implement solutions that advance key cyber security projects.
  • Support security operations and IT cloud service infrastructure projects.
  • Develop, install, configure, and maintain cyber security and cloud solutions.
  • Implement Data Loss Prevention policies and Computer Forensics capabilities.
  • Collaborate with IT Operations on PAM, MDM and other projects.
  • Promote security awareness across the organization.
  • Stay updated on emerging cyber security threats and vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

  • 2-5+ years of cyber security experience or equivalent technical education.
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and securing cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Experience in incident management, application security evaluation, and scripting/automation.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical details.
  • Relevant certifications (CNDA, GPEN, OSCP, CEH) are a plus.

We seek a self-starter with an owner mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work across teams. The role may involve travel to other office locations when needed.
